This 2 day course will serve as a comprehensive multi-modality review of relevant topics in Gynecological and Obstetrical Imaging. It incorporates a series of lectures as well as case-based sessions. Program highlights include: acute gynecological conditions, gynecological oncology, gynecological and obstetrical ultrasound as well as an overview of the uses of MRI in pregnancy. Imaging guidelines in acute conditions during pregnancy will also be reviewed. The primary focus will be on providing useful information that can be implemented in your daily practice.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Identify common and atypical imaging patterns of pelvic endometriosis and its correlation with laparoscopy.
Recognize the imaging features of benign and malignant conditions affecting the uterus, fallopian tubes and the ovaries.
Describe evidenced based gynecological cancer imaging with Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Diffusion Weighted Imaging and Positron Emission Tomography .
Illustrate case-based imaging features of acute gynecological entities and their mimickers which are encountered in the ER.
Discuss abnormalities of fetal growth in singleton and twin pregnancies and recognize the common placental abnormalities affecting maternal and fetal well-being.
Determine the most appropriate diagnostic interpretation and up-to-date management of fetal soft-markers on ultrasound and have the most current multi-disciplinary information on interpretation and management of morbidly adherent placental disorders.
