Improvements in digital technology have allowed for the use of CT in the practice of radiation therapy to more accurately plan and individualize treatment for each patient. The intent of the CTRT Certificate program is to provide a mechanism for radiation therapists to demonstrate knowledge and competence in the use of CT, promote standards of excellence within this clinical area, and to identify those who have met a nationally recognized standard.
