This Quick Self Study provides an understanding of the various types of orthopedic hardware involved in orthopedic surgery. It will review the basic understanding of bone fractures, provide an introduction to the different types and use of orthopedic implants and discuss the use of imaging modalities in the diagnosis and treatment of bone fractures and use of orthopedic implants. Use of radiological images will help differentiate and provide an understanding of the types of orthopedic implants used.
