Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Canadian men and women, and many people have been touched in some way by this disease.
Given the rapid pace of research in this field, this course is intended to bring learners up to speed regarding current research and treatment standards.
Topics include lung cancer epidemiology, histopathology, disease signs and symptoms, diagnosis and staging, treatment options, smoking cessation tools, and community supports for those living with a lung cancer diagnosis.
