1) RadSkills: Developing Clinical Skills Through High-Quality Video

In this presentation, we will discuss current challenges in the teaching/learning of clinical skills in radiation therapy, and introduce RadSkills, a high-quality video resource, as a solution. We will review results of research investigating students’ perception of videos as resources, and how students integrated the resources into their learning. We will also look at some hurdles and successes to consider when developing high-quality video resources.

– Explore the value of using high-quality video to develop clinical skills.
– Consider some of the benefits and challenges of building video resources in other skills-based learning environments.

2) Enhancing Reflection Through the use of Theme Boards

Presenter: Jane Harvey-Lloyd, Associate Professor, University of Leeds

The aim of this presentation is to share my experience of using a theme board workshop with six diagnostic radiography students at the start of their second year. The students were asked to reflect on their experience of practice learning and to build a theme board to illustrate those reflections.
