CT has become an important diagnostic tool in medical imaging. With advances in image quality and reduction in scan times, CT has experienced enormous growth in clinical use and, in some cases, the elimination of some previously performed x-ray procedures. The intent of the Certificate in CT Imaging is to provide a mechanism for radiological and nuclear medicine technologists to demonstrate knowledge and competence in the field of CT imaging, to promote standards of excellence within this clinical area, and to identify those who have met a nationally recognized standard.
