This talk will discuss the basic principles of inflammatory imaging and present its unique advantages and limitations. Its appropriate clinical indications will also be discussed. Through numerous case examples, the attendee will see the full gamut of contemporary inflammatory imaging, as practiced in a modern tertiary care nuclear medicine department where fusion imaging (SPECT/CT and PET/CT) with anatomic specificity is strongly emphasized. The diagnostic power of molecular inflammatory imaging and its contribution to general diagnostic imaging will be self evident.
