This course addresses safety concerns in MRI. The course begins with a history of MR safety and corresponding terminology. It then provides a brief physics review of each magnetic field, followed by a discussion on their unique hazards and how to safely work in each. Also included is a review of implants, the Kanal Method, MR contrast agents and a discussion on special circumstances and emergencies.
Presenter: Sara Sullivan, BSc, BHS, RT(R)(MR), MRSO (MRSCTM)
