OAR’s Vascular and Interventional Radiology Update: Practical Information

This 1-day program focuses on practical information readily applied to daily practice. Learn “tips and tricks” for performing procedures and managing complications while reviewing a broad spectrum, of challenging cases. Review techniques involved with uterine fibroid and prostate artery embolization including what findings are relevant on pre-procedure and post-procedure imaging and the different imaging appearances of malignancy post-interventional oncology procedures. Review management of anticoagulants during interventional radiology procedures and how to optimize peri-procedural hemostasis.

CAIR MRT & RN Day

A day dedicated to MRTs and RNs to start the CAIR Annual Meeting, followed by training and lectures, that will incorporate many facets of Interventional radiology practice with utrasound, capnography, drug eluting, balooning, stenting, etc. Radial access and general topics on IR will also be discussed. We have recruited respected members from our Canadian IR community and illustrious guest speakers.

The MRT and RN portion of the program will be exploring various procedures, interventions and improvement of workflow efficiencies, from IR technologist and nurse prospective.

18th CAIR Annual Meeting

The CAIR 2019 Annual Meeting, held once again in collaboration with the CAMRT, will take place in Toronto from May 30th to June 1st. We expect that a record number of physicians, technologists and nurses will attend.

Hands-On Mammography Quality Control Workshop

The classroom component of this workshop will go into the fundamentals of mammography imaging, artifact management, and what the QC evaluations actually mean. X-ray Safety Officer course (XSO)
