Spine radiography is one of the most fundamental aspects of a radiologic technologist’s job. Whether assessing injury or disease, spine radiography has a wide range of indications and applications. This course is ASRT approved for 13.75 category A CE credits and reviews basic spinal anatomy, radiologic landmarks, technical and exposure factors, and patient care principles. Basic and selected special positions and projections of the spine are covered in detail with positioning illustrations and image evaluation criteria. This course also covers bone and spinal cord diseases and injuries and provides an integral review of radiation protection principles.
