Blended Learning and Skill Quantification in MRI: The Future’s so Bright! (well, various shades of light grey)

This webinar will introduce how simulation software can be used for MRT-education, how it is being used for training and in practice, and offers a review of current challenges in radiologic education and clinical standardization. ScanLabMR’s Matthew Hayes (an adjunct professor at U. North Carolina-Chapel Hill and MRI technologist) will discuss the impact and reach that simulation is currently having, where it might go in the future, and give a look into their company’s offerings. As part of this demonstration, we will be given a look into the types of scans that can be performed using simulation and how those scans can be manipulated and evaluated. This is intended to provide a view inside an educational simulation tool currently in use in the field, and does not represent an endorsement of this software by the CAMRT. This series, sponsored by Philips Canada, is planned to continue in the fall with a review of a teaching and research simulator at a major Canadian post-secondary institution.
